REMINDER: I have not created this site for people to use it as a venom pit -for spewing hatred, calling names, inflicting insults, or for breeding hate. I welcome everyone that wants to engage in a decent, civil debate. I don't care what color of skin you may sport on the outside or what faith (if at all) your practice. I do expect you to behave and play by my rules if you want to use my site's resources to make your point. Remember, by joining this forum, and by logging in, you have agreed with my AUP guidelines (linked below) and to abide by it fully. My site, My Rules -It's that simple.

I recognize some of you are really upset about the ongoing in this Don Imus mess. That, however, is no excuse for you - a member of this civic forum -to ignore my Acceptable Use Guidelines which you have agreed to as a necessary condition for making use of this forum.

Frankly, I am really troubled to see the hate, the anger, the raw hate that some of the posters have spewed in this threads. Is this how we -the adult Americans -are supposed to conduct ourselves while we work together toward our collective betterment?

I tip my hat to those who have said their piece with decency.

To those who seem to think it is OK for them to spew hatred, call names, or insult others, I have news for you: This is your one and only public notice to conduct yourselves responsibly or LEAVE. Your willful disregard for our AUP (to which you are bound to by willfully joining this forum) costs me time and money. If you continue to abuse my resources by posting content that violates our AUP, expect to be held accountable for all administrative costs we may incur in cleaning up after you.

Here is my plan of action:

Delete any posts that are found to be non-compliant with our AUP
Delete useraccounts that are found to be repeat offenders.
If this kind of abuse continues, I will bring in the Hall Monitors and move all comments/posts to be "Pre-moderated." If you do not live up to your part of bargain (i.e. being fully compliant with our AUP ), I will have to take away your freedom to post on my site.

You know, I have warmly welcomed anyone to join this site, and voice an opinion. Afterall, active civic participation is central to nurturing and further advancing Democracy. However, I have no intention of allowing anyone to abuse my infrastructure for hateful purposes.

I still belive that for most part, people are good. I would love to continue to offer you folks a forum that allows you to say your piece -responsible. If you don't care to behave, I will take away your toys and kick you out.
